Sarah McCoy capped off the 2019 Book & Bites literary season with a packed banquet room of kindred spirits. Sponsored by the Friends of the Mountain Branch Library at the Lake Lure Inn & Spa, the luncheon featured McCoy’s latest novel “Marilla of Green Gables,” a tale of life at Green Gables . . . before Anne Shirley. This moving historical novel, set in rural Prince Edward Island in the nineteenth century, imagines the young life of spinster Marilla Cuthbert.
